Troyan
The town of Troyan is located on the banks of the Osam River, where her two feeders join. The mountain town has preserved its charm through the years, which is due to the well preserved architectural complexes with renovated houses from the typical Bulgarian revival era, and to nature itself.
Handicrafts, especially pottery, prosper in the beginning of the 19th century. The famous Troyan ceramic school is founded. Traditions, regarding ceramics, have been preserved and nowadays ceramic articles made by craftsmen are sold in Troyan.
Two unique for the country museums are located here in Troyan: the Museum of Folk Craft and Applied arts and the Natural Science museum. The house of Ivan Hadzhiyski and the art gallery are also interesting places to visit.
